I used to be really close to this friend. She was a librarian and we had a lot in common.
When I stopped living a very strict religious lifestyle, she stopped talking to me.
I just looked her up to see how she is.
Unfortunately I found her obituary. She died suddenly and unexpectedly.
I’m very sad about it. She was too young.

It’s so hard to say goodbye to old friends.
I think it’s even harder too when there’s no sense of closure.
If it makes you feel any better I’m betting that she loves you still.

I think she cared about me. She just couldn’t be friends with someone who was living in sin based on her beliefs.
You see, before I met my husband I left the church and dated females for a while.
I lost all my friends during that time.
I still ran into them from time to time, but they kept their distance because our church practiced shunning, aka excommunication.
I was shunned/excommunicated.
I’m no longer dating females but I’m also no longer a member of that cult
I found out on a documentary on Netflix that the church I belonged to was one of many churches who were part of a large cult.
I’m glad I’m out, but I do miss my friends

I sometimes hear the voices of dead people. I hope you won’t experience that.
It’s strange to say the least.
