I said something nice about her encouraging me and read a Bahai prayer for the departed. The service was beautiful. She looked so relaxed in her coffin bed. It’s not wrong to say that, when we are old, death is a happy occasion. But, I’ll selfishly miss her.
That must have been hard to say goodbye to your friend.
I’m happy she had a nice ceremony.
I’m sorry you had to say goodbye, but it’s nice that you have such a peaceful attitude about it. It sounds like a beautiful ceremony.
well good for you for reading something at the ceremony…sorry for your loss…you’re not selfish…it’s hard losing someone.
I’m sorry @PinCushion.
It’s hard to say goodbye.
I agree with Juke…that was brave of you to speak some kind words at your friend’s funeral. Nice touch!
No bravery necessary, @PatrickT. It was a cozy, warm crowd and I had planned out what I wanted to say ahead of time. Don’t forget, I’m an old cheerleader, and old performer, and an old teacher so I’m familiar with getting up in front of a crowd.
It’s good you miss her. Much better for people to pass with people who care about them. You did well.
