just wanted to throw this feeling out in the universe that my job is beating the crap out of me. some nights I can make upwards of $40 an hour and sometimes I won’t hit minimum wage. tonight, I worked 10 hours and made $60. I cannot complain, though, as I’m sure many would be so lucky to have my job, sz or otherwise. I work sales for a newspaper.

Sales can be rough. I worked in retail when I was getting worse. I cried at work and that was probably my low point, but no one caught me.
I tried a few sales jobs - telemarketing and door to door. The only one I had any success at was selling newspaper subscriptions over the phone. Everyone wants newspapers. It seemed like I didn’t encounter the usual hostility selling newspapers.
I work at venues. last night was an ahl game.
