listening to “electric ladyland”…his double album masterpiece…he was so talented and gone so soon…i used to idolize him in high school…the guitarist’s guitarist.

My husband goes to a reggae festival every year and sees his son play.
I believe he’s his son.
Anyway, they don’t go to see him,
He’s just always there.

i suppose those who are the best at anything are where lucky genetics, skill, circumstance etc all meet together 
I havent listened to too much hendrix but yea he probably was a musical genius.

I totally respect the man’s body of work.
But there is heavy rumor he was an abuser of women.
A lot of it cannot be confirmed and it was eternity ago.

wow i see. Well i hope that wasnt true. I dont know much about hendrix, but as an artist it seems he went all in on the guitar. Reminds me so much of kurt. both of them are legends to me.

Lenny Kravitz used to remind me a bit of Hendrix. At little faster music though. But he seems to have dropped off the map to a large degree. At least, as for as I know.

Regardless, he was a massive talent and managed to put his stamp on the world at a young age.

Not a huge fan of either, but know how culturally significant they are.

He’s still out there.
I don’t know if he’s making music, but he does make it into the tabloids a good bit.

Yeah Jimi was very talented
Crazy great guitarist who really did some great things.
People would say he could do things on the guitar that were amazing with a simple setup. It was a shame he passed away as he was starting to get into different things like multitracking I’ve read.
Really could have done some things but the old drugs really did bite into that whole scenario.
