Iso-nation!

So just about through our isolation period of 7 days thank gawd. It’s been a wild ride but back on our feet and we are over the contagious period which is good. Have an uncle up from Canberra and we’ve a family get together this Sunday which we can actually attend so worked out ok.

First 3 days weren’t much fun but that was more because of lack of sleep. That really knocked me around a lot as I’ve built my life on routines and sleep is one of them. Need to get more food in the freezer just in case though. We usually shop week to week and we missed a shop so we ran out of the choice of food half way through the week…discovered menulog which is cool for a treat but as someone who needs to watch calories we made a mistake there. I need some more rice and pasta and some simple proteins for sure.

Anyways. Looking foward to family time Sunday and getting back into the exercise. I’ve had a week off basically so it’s time to knuckledown to prepare for summer!

Yes matey. Bloody covid got to us which was a surprise. Feeling a lot better. My dad who I live with has asthma and copd and his lungs aren’t too good but we both got through ok. Dad did better than me to be honest. My first 3 days were a bit brutal but dad had a day or so and was better.

Thanks to science for some good vaxxes got us through…and I think a strain that wasn’t too bad. We’ve a general flu out here that is really bad…crazy times.

I am curious, I have been vaccinated (2 shots) plus two boosters(total of 4 shots). How many vax did you and your dad get prior. Did they prescribe paxoliod to help you through?

We don’t have the pill or adjunct treatments. Both dad and I had two intitial vaxes…astra zenica and one booster…pfizer. We are just getting the fourth ( 2nd booster ) coming out now…but we just got the bloody covid!

Rumor has it once you get the virus, you are set. Your body makes all the antibodies that it needs, I hope for your case that it is true.

I’ll take that and it seemed a milder strain. My ex wife got the bad version over in the States and she was really stuffed for a while. We didn’t get it too bad but I’m sure the vaxes helped heaps…All’s you can do is get the recommended shots.

We have a general flu getting around over here and it’s nuts. My aunty has had it for two weeks and is really sick…we were only out a week with the covid…it’s just crazy but we are in winter and it’s been really cold for us and it’s flu season out here.
