I have sz, good to find a place where it is accepted. But when I hear someone else have it I get a weird feeling (irl). Has this happened to anyone else??? Like I know it is nothing to be feared but I still feel uneasy, seems exactly how people treat me lol

No when I meet other people in hospitals with SZ we usually click.
I haven’t met many people with it. Psych pretty much thinks I blend with society which is not the case!

What do you mean?
Well putting me to a challenging situation to see if I come out on my feet. In other words throwing me in the deep end and seeing if I swim! That’s my take on it… though I think he had more exp. Re. Sz than me! What’s your take on it?

I don’t think anyone is challenging you. Are you on meds? Or do you mean you don’t have enough support?
yep I’m medicated with no side effects, maybe a little affecting my memory but I’m contempt. What about you? What meds are you on? I’m on zyprexa 7.5 mg in d morning and 7.5mg at night. I know different meds affect people differently so everyone will have a different med to different quantity! Pretty lame but this is me now!

My antipsychotic is max dose of Geodon and Caplyta. Gives me a bit of dyskenesia but I put up with it. Been here since 2022. I recently started a mood stabilizer because I have schizoaffective and mania gives me too much anxiety.

It says we have run into each other before, I tried this site once back about a year ago back when I was working. @Mars yeah I have disorganized sz. Before being treated for psychosis… on meds for life! Do you feel annoyed you have to be medicated for life?

Used to be but I’m fine with it now. As long as it works. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it I guess. And yeah I’m here all the time so we probably have.

What have you got going on in your life rn?
For me I’m looking for work, I’d prefer to be on benefits cause of memory issues, but since I worked past 15 odd years, parents think I should work!
Besides that no friends at present though have had many friends in the past growing up.
Seems like everything is in the past!

Not too much, haven’t worked since 2020. Used to work as a programmer, taught myself to program as a kid. Recently I’ve been trying to make and release a game every 3 months just for fun and learning.
