I naturally gravitate towards holding the computer mouse like this. With the hand rotated slightly to the right (when viewed from above).
I’m right handed.
I notice I get some aching on the right part of my wrist.

I thinjpk it is bad ergonomics
do you know whats correct, how should I hold it? I don’t want to give up yet another hobby because of injury or pain
You can buy an ergonomic mouse
Why don’t use a trackpad/touchpad instead? The computer mouse will be obsolete in the future. Gestures such as 2-finger, 3-finger and even 4-finger swipes as well as double-tap, triple-tap and quadruple-tap & pinch and zoom have replaced all the buttons on a computer mouse.
Yes @everhopeful I have 2 different ergonomic mouses, one is a vertical, one is one of those your don’t move, but it has a track ball you can move with your thumn, I’m trying them out now. Had forgotten I had them
I do the opposite, left side rotated
Yes I have thought about getting a track pad for my desktop PC. Do you have any products you can recommend?
Do you have a Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac or Linux computer/laptop?
I have a macbook and a desktop PC with windows. I like using my desktop but if trackpads don’t exist for desktop I could use the macbook.
Well, if you have an Amazon account, you can have these items as depicted below delivered to you home. Trackpads/Touchpads are available for both Macintosh & Windows.
Thanks, I’ll look into them!
If I can’t do art with mouse or trackpad either, I’m bummed out. But I’m so used to things not working now that I have stopped caring so much.
