Is this a commonly experienced thing?

lately … I’ve been having serious episodes of loss of control of thoughts and paranioa … They usually are pretty short … However … Lately … I’ve been noticing that when I feel, for lack of better term, Normal… I still have this weight of anxiety living inside of my chest… I’ve also noticed my heart rate change drastically in response to certain things.

There Is A “”“drug”"" Called PROPANOLOL ,

If You Talk To A Doctor You May Be Able To Calm Your Heart Rate Down A Bit …

Possibly (?)

Do you have a doctor to talk with about your symptoms? There are medications that can help. Learning coping skills might also help if you can calm down enough to concentrate on them. When I feel the anxiety starting to overwhelm me, I do a task that requires a lot of easy steps. Something I am good at, where I don’t have to think too hard. This gets my focus on what I’m doing, and off my anxieties. I usually pick baking or cleaning.

I’d be very careful with Inderal propanolol. I was on it for a while (because it looked like I needed to be), and could barely move.

Are you getting any psychotherapy besides your meds? This sounds like it may be a cognitive issue, as well as a genetic one. Do you know about CBT or DBT? (DBT is The Bomb for distress tolerance and emotion regulation. See http://behavioraltech.org/resources/whatisdbt.cfm.

I have experienced those symptoms. I don’t know what to say about it but I try to listen to music. I know not much help.

Sounds like you are talking about a panic Attack.

befor you run off popping all kinds of pills just calm down and focus on something and let your current state of mind be secondary to that.

There’s no accounting for it…everything is relative.

Propranolol in high doses can lower the blood pressure so much that it makes the heart rate go up. That’s what is up with me and why I have to be extremely careful with cardio. If my heart rate gets too high I get woozy and cold and weak and have to sit down. I sit the ■■■■ down when that happens, I’m not dying while exercising.

I take it for tremors which are medication induced. I take a whopping 80mg.

i think you should talk to your pdoc about this, he/she is a professional and should know the best course of action for you.

Breathing helps anxiety. Try breathing as slow as possible. Deep breaths. In through your nose, exhale through mouth.
