I have been manic in the past and am diagnosed with SZA. I have always got intense bursts of excitement. When I was manic it made me physically squeal with excitement. Now its a lesser exten but still feel extreme giggyness. Is it normal to have intense bursts of excitement for no reason or is it apart of my SZA? Incidentally my excitement has gone down a little with a increase in my invega injection.

I don’t get bursts of excitement randomly and I’ve never had a mood disorder.

Yeah, I would assume that’s part of the sza, or maybe even just your personality. I’ve never experienced that.

ill get suddenly randomly super pumped at nothing in particular and super motivated sometimes and my doctor has discussed me possibly being sza as opposed to sz, which would make sense imo

I have bipolar 2 with psychotic symptoms. I sometimes get really high energy and feel like cleaning the house and I get a million ideas of what I want to paint. I get productive and SUPER talkative. My doctor says it’s hypomania that I experience.

I get the same way. I have sza, too. That is what I think it is, but maybe we are just excited people.

I’m sza and I don’t know what you mean by “intense bursts of excitement”. My mania manifests as anger, irritability, argumentativeness and at times, even verbal violence. It’s also known as mixed mania. I don’t know what you mean by “giggyness”. Do you mean “giddiness”?
Anyway, your intense bursts of excitement sound like euphoric mania to me.
