Is being low in mood different to depression?

I don’t feel depressed but feel low in mood, down in the dumps etc. Is this different than depression?

I am not sure you have to ask a dr. I always get in a low mood at night, I feel much better in the morning. Rarely at night I think about how much my life was better before my sz and I feel a strong urge to cry, I get a bit of tears but prevent myself from crying. I told my Dr and he said its normal to cry from time to time. He doesn’t think its depression.

I don’t understand why I’n getting such intensive support from my team atm.

Depression doesnt always need a reason why. It just happens. Talk to your pdoc and see if they have any suggestions.

I was in depression for so long I got to know after taking meds on depression I felt good such as able to do tasks with out thinking of purpose

you can have a temporary mood change but depression is more prolonged I’d say
