Irritable Bowel Syndrome

The antibiotics combined with stress I’m going through have triggered my IBS. I’ve been in remission for a few years so it’s really depressing to be dealing with this again. I’m going to have to be careful not to eat before I have to go anywhere so I don’t have an accident. I already live with a lot of pain, this is just another layer to add to it.

You are so nice. Thank you very much. Have a wonderful day.

That really sucks, i know. I’ve always had problems with my stomach and I’m pretty sure it’s IBS. I haven’t been diagnosed but I’ve had way too many moments of rushing to the bathroom and almost not making it. It’s not a fun way to live.

That’s a bummer. My wife has IBS, just last night she got up for the bathroom 3 times. I wish I could do something for her.

A coworker of hers suggested probiotics and they have helped a little.

I have IBS so I can definitely commiserate with you @Leaf. Hopefully, once you’re off antibiotics, your IBS symptoms will settle back down.

You all have maybe heard about this, but there is something called a “FODMAPS” table that you can follow to get your digestion back on track. It rules out things that are bad for IBS and focuses on things that are easy on the stomach. It’s not meant as a permanent solution, but more like a way to get the digestion back on track.
