Invisible friends

Hi again @Beansinmyears. I’m voithos, one of the site’s volunteer moderators and I have a mental illness diagnosis just like you. I realize that your invisible friend is important to you, but “he” is the product of the positive symptoms of your illness. The longer you embrace this “friend” the sicker you will be in the long run. We don’t encourage that sort of thing here:

You may accidentally make others ill by discussing your infatuation with your invisible friend. It would be better if you tried to find ways to move beyond him and there is a large community of people here who would like to help you with that. If you are not interested in moving on from this particular delusion, this community may not be where you want to be at this time. Please think that over.

With that being said, congratulations on cleaning up like you did - that is a major accomplishment and I hope you are proud of yourself.
