So i’ve been a lurker here for about a year. You all seem like a nice supportive community so i am finally coming out of my closet to share, encourage others and be a part of an online cimmunity. I am over 50 years old and have lived with a diagnosis of schizophrenia with seasonal affective disorder since the late 1980’s. I was a teen back then and due to the extreme sigma, i never revealed my diagnosis to others except my husband. I have been spending time on youtube following various schizophrenia advocates and learning what the psychiatrists never told me about my condition when I was young. So, I decided to stay anonymous, yet still join in and conttibute to the conversations here.
