Since I have a guardian. Do people who know what that means assume that I am mentally incompetent or mentally disabled to a point where I can’t make decisions? Is that what would think if they knew I have one.
I get treated as unfortunate and disabled by my family. Because that’s what society has told them and everybody who cares to find out. But they don’t even know do they. They can’t see inside my head.
I do have some thinking problems by right now. For some reason. There’s always a problem. Its true. But I operate on my own. Even though I am mentally disabled just a little. I can feel it now. Its not a nice feeling.
What do you guys think. Because I told you I had a relapse and now I have a guardian. Maybe you understand what I’m feeling at this moment.
You just think of me as messed up. That’s what a guardian does. Its a beacon to everyone. This guy is mentally screwed up. Right?
I want out of this situation but I have corruption in my brain right now. Intelligent thinking with corruption is hard to do.
What am I going to do about this

I don’t know if the Abilify I’m taking right now is good. But I want off invega. This could be bad
Why is it so bad to have a family member as a guardian? Because you can’t manage your own money?
I think they will keep you safe and protect you from hardship? If you proof that you can handle more responsibility they might be open to giving you more self-determination rights.

I already handle my own money. I know how much money I have. I buy what I want with it. I would have issues investing I’m sure. But most people with normal brain do to. I just have a some corruption

I agree with you @anon17326926 .
A good guardian can be empowering and supportive anc wonderful.
A bad guardian may be financially abusive, suppressive and make you more miserable.
But a good supportive empowering one can do wonders to help you.
What a difference.
Let’s hope we get good ones if ever need it be.
Ones that love us , care for us , empower and support us.

You guys have to understand what it’s like to have a guardian and have society do something like this to you. When you actually do have a problem thinking. You feel like your doctor and the medical system let the cat out of the bag and put you in your place. So that everyone can see that you are vulnerable and yeah. You get the drift. That’s what we think

Even without a guardian some people are forced treatment (at least here in Belgium).
Yeah I’m on a community treatment order. I’m forced to take my meds

I’m in trouble. I’m incompetent. To a degree and I’m switching from invega to Abilify. I’m trying anyway. I can already tell tonight that this is a bad thing

Even if you were competent, psychiatrists don’t always agree with med switches.
It’s good to talk about the side effects you experience though or to seek a second opinion.
He agreed with me because of my sexual dysfunction I guess.

I wonder if I’ll survive the switch.this could be bad. I just want to feel better on Abilify. Maybe not as mentally incompetent and able to masturbate

Lol. This is what conversation degenerates to. The basics. Now you know. Lol
Do you guys find my insight interesting. Its truth about incompetence. What am I gonna do. Its sad
I hope Abilify works better for you. But it’s trial and error. You’ll might have to try different meds to see which one you can bear best, but there might be no perfect solution.

I hope invega isn’t as strong and allows me more freedom
Having a guardian appointed for you means that you have legally been found to be lacking the capacity to make decisions for yourself:
Guardianship orders have to be periodically reviewed. The order could be rescinded if you demonstrate improvement.
