Does your inner voice (thinking voice) ever change into someone else’s voice?
For example say it’s someone you work with, then your inner voice becomes their voice all day.
Happens to me it’s so annoying. It’s like jeez I work with you already now I still gotta hear ya when I’m off.
Gonna listen to someone else on the radio to try to get it to change.
I have inside voices and sometimes i can hear my co-workers thoughts but although its inside my head its not my thinking voice. Other voices i hear outside and with a direction like a real sound.
This happens to me all the time. Especially if they have accents or interesting inflections. I tend to like these people, it almost feels like a way of mimicking them when they arent here on a subconscious level.
All the time, buddy. Its like I have a voice for each person that has influence on my life. I take it pretty far, though, because I sometimes think that they’re watching me, and they respond as they, in my mind, would do if they are actually there.
I get internal auditory hallucinations as well. I was thinking when my thinking voice becomes someone else it is kind of a step below having an internal auditory hallucination.
Ah, could be… Never thought about it like that before.
Although I will say that I’ve heard that “normies” do kinda experience hearing another person’s words also.
Like for example, they would remember what their mom would say if they tried to have dessert before supper. So in that sense, they might actually “hear” her voice in a way. But obviously that phenomenon is on a much smaller scale than what we go through.
…Man, I would love to be inside a normie’s mind for a day to see what it’s actually like, haha .
