Im Starting deprescriping Seroquel today and Will lower my Seroquel with 50 mg Seroquel every 7 — 10 days until psychosis surfaces again or I reach the tagget dose of 300 mgs. The reason why is that shrinks only prescripe but rearly deprescripe and that often leave you Down with a log book full of prescriptions with needless meds you dont even know why you are on.

Seroquel made me sleep 12 hours. If I got less than that I get symptoms. Also days feel longer with 8 hours of sleep.

Yes Mars but I’ve the impression that you are doing Well on the Calyta and Geodon and thats the most important thing but I just feel so sympthomatic in regards to the negative symptoms. So that for me the only Way out of this is to deprescripe because the drugs dont work anymore in regards to my illness. Dont get discorage because I cant get treated in regards to the negatives cause Im sure that those meds do wonders to your negatives.
Summa Sumarum am I just going to stay positive symptomfree on one meds namely Clopixol Longacting 500 mg every 3 week and two anticolinergic pills.
Don`t worry for me I do a slowtappering and just remember I Will show love and understanding to all of you.

I,m starting to see a purpose for Seroquel cause it seems to awaking feelings towards people so Ill just tapper Down to 450 Seroquel in 6 weeks. Most meds numbed me but this doesnt Seem the case with Seroquel.
@Ghosts reducing your seroquel won’t make your negative symptoms go away.l
Your positive symptoms will start back and distract you from your negative symptoms.
Negative symptoms are part of the illness.
All this talk about meds causing negative symptoms are assumptions.
It’s not a good idea to deprescribe without your doctor knowing what you are doing.
If you want to do this, at least talk to your doctor so they can monitor your symptoms.

You are a very intelligent person and I Think I agree with your opinion. Yes I don*t Think most antipsychotics affect negative symptom as much. I Will monitize myself very closely to detect any kind of irretability or psychosis. Ill do a very slowtappering and if all goes Well after the plan Ill get my practisioning doctor to lower my Seroquel to 450 mg.

I fully understand doctors and healthcare only care to treat our positive symptoms and we are left on our own to deal with negatives.

Kxv you gave me an eye opener. You are right lowering my meds Will not improve my negative symptoms a bit. And the positives May as a matter of fact return again. You are really right and I realize that I acted as a bad front figure for none complience and a bad rolle model for all the youngsters here on this Forum because meds changes must be in collabroation with my PhD.
So Ill listen to you because you were right and I was wrong. So Ill take the 50 mg Seroquel so that I`m back on 600 mg of Seroquel.
