The supreme court has approved same-sex marriages, but the government has yet to enact the law. A Nepalese gay couple have successfully gotten married.

My colleague who is a fellow Indian told me this news and she obviously wasn’t pleased from her expression. You are right @anon9798425 most Indians don’t accept it which is why I am so shocked and surprised at this step.
