In Canada We Get 3 Holidays This Month

If you work for the Federal Government.

Labour day, The Queen’s Memorial Day and Indigenous day. Including weekends, that’s 11 days off this month. Not great for national productivity but very good for family life.

Is this tomorrow for the state funeral?

@Joker

Yes.

We get the Monday off in recognition of our Queen’s passing.

It’s a national holiday here too

We live near London (1hr30mins on train) and my mother wanted me to go with her to see the coffin go past after the funeral, but she decided to watch on the TV - as they say 1 million will be travelling on the day

Sad occasion but it was going to happen sooner or later at 96.

I said to my mother that after the Duke died, the queen wouldn’t be far behind

Older couples from what I have seen don’t do well after one dies - and that was even the case with all the support the queen had as well

I agree. The Queen represented all Canadians and we should all get that Monday off…not just the Feds.
