For the matter, I have schizophrenia, and I believe my immune system is compromised.
Really interesting. My son, who has sz, had Kawasaki’s Disease, which is an auto-immune disease, when he was a toddler. Lupus runs in my family, and a doctor who tested me for Lupus said I had the “marker” for it. My immune system goes haywire every once in awhile, to the point that another doctor insisted on testing me for HIV. (I do not have HIV).
Anyway, any information about factors involved in sz is interesting. The research always seems to get just so far, but this is very concrete and treatable stuff.
