I'm thinking about making a short experimental film with my camcorder

That’s awesome Monte.

I second the found footage idea. I love those.

Right on! Pretty much 90% of the stuff I made in film school stinks.

Filmmaking is a lot like singing or learning guitar. The more you do it, the better your skills become.

That’s really cool, best of luck!

It’s great fun. i’ve been working on a film project the last month or so and i am almost finished, it has to be 2 min long and bc i have a lot of content its hard to shave off time, atm i have 1.58m and i will be adding another clip soon. I also need to add text.

If it gets chosen then it will hopefully be played outside the science centre on the big screen

How exciting!

I can’t wait to hear more about it.

And see the final product!

Thank you Rexy! Idk if I’ll be able to share it though because I might be the only actor in it.

That’s okay,

I get it.

I just hope you enjoy making the film and something you like.

Thank you for understanding.

Yeah it should be fun.

The only thing I really need are some strong lights. I can buy a couple flood lights at Wal-Mart, or buy a video light off Amazon.

The flood lights would probably be the cheaper option.

For your first time around with this camera and stuff,

I’d go with the cheaper option.

Later, if you’re unhappy, you can return them and get that light off Amazon.

I agree, friend. It’s better to start small. :+1:
