I'm sorry @DNA

But this is the third time in two weeks that a fast food joint has messed up my order. I’m trying to stop going anyways but It’s a cold rainy day and I’ve tried to get out every day which means I eat a little something from drive-thrus eventually.

Yeah, their manager may be pressuring them but so what? These guys are 18 or 19. They can’t get a simple thing right like giving a customer sauce to dip chicken pieces in? That’s a pretty basic thing.

They can sure drive past me on the freeway going 75 mph in the rain or smart off while I’m ordering. At that age they have their top reflexes and instincts and if they can’t do their job than I say do the right thing and quit.

I’m really irked right now that I spent 4 bucks on my crappy old chicken nuggets and nothing to dip them in.

I mean it’s the little things in life that make us happy but it’s also the little things that bug the hell out if me.

It’s all good man,

Me and my brother just got food at Burger King (drive thru) and we literally waited like 20 minutes for 2 original chicken combos and 20 nuggets.

We had to yell into the mic cuz the guy couldn’t hear what we were saying, and after we repeated ourselves, he proceeded to repeat what we asked him back to us.

Its 9 PM, there was literally no customers in the place.

What bothers me the most is you’re supposed to have at least 2 of each items on hand at all times to prevent a cluster fck of orders.

But you’re right, some employees cant multi task and take forever to complete an order.

Essentially, it’s a team effort thing; if one employee is slacking then the whole team is.

Some places just need new people.

One of my 17 year old’s jobs is at Wendy’s. I’m very proud of his work ethic. I was a good worker at his age, too. But people get my order wrong ALL the time around here with the exception of the Wendy’s my son works at. They are great. Everyone else is awful. And no one is friendly anymore. Don’t just hold out your hand for my money; tell me how much you are charging me, and then tell me thank you or have a nice day. Yeesh, is it so hard to be polite?

I would never have been able to cope with such a job .

Tell me about it. I feel like I’m carrying the whole world on my shoulders to show them by example how to be polite. It’s like it’s a lost art or something.

My only concern about my manners is that I say ma’am and sir. Nowadays, that might offend someone because they may identify as a different gender. I don’t want to hurt anyone by doing that. I think I am a very polite, well-mannered person, though. It is one of my rare good qualities. :relaxed:

That’s good. Being polite and respectful is it’s own reward.

@firemonkey you’re a programmer,

Shut it. :expressionless:

I worked at McDonald’s for several years to get me through college. I constantly worked with teenage boys with the minds of clams. You don’t want to know what they did when they were bored.

We have McDonalds, I rarely eat there, mostly French fries if I am hungry, I am satisfied with their service.
