I'm making pot roast tonight

I’m cooking it in my CrockPot slow cooker. I have a 2 lb. beef round roast thrown in with beef stock, carrots, onions and potatoes. Seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. I’m cooking it on low for 9 hours. Gonna have good eats for a while now.

You should try throwing a jar of banana peppers in some time. It’s very tasty.

That does sound good but I don’t have a jar of banana peppers. I do have a jar of sliced jalapeño peppers.

It’s the juice that makes the roast flavorful. The brine from the jar.

Jalapeno would just make it spicy, but the banana pepper ls and juice tenderizes.

I’ll try to remember that next time I make a roast. Thanks.

You’re welcome. Someone told me once and I love doing it now. You can use mild or hot.

Yes. My chili is thick, very tasty, and has both meat and beans. And I always add cheddar cheese and raw onions at serving time. Yum yum.

I haven’t made a pot roast in a long time. I prefer making an English roast in the oven. But now I might make that soon. I just haven’t thought about it in a while, but it does sound good
