Thank you @lekkerhondje and @Zoe . I have a cricopharyngeal bar and apparently the permanent solution for it is surgical removal. There are other things that sometimes works but my speech pathologist said it usually means surgery. I will need to talk to my surgeon first of cours to see what he thinks.

I looked it up that looks like a quite serious condition. I’m sorry to hear that. I hope things will be okay.

Thank you. Everything will be just fine. At least I know now why I’m having difficulty swallowing. The test showed other problems too that are easily corrected with therapy. I will be seeing the speech pathologist once a week for the next couple months and strengthening my swallow.

I hope your life will improve after surgery. Modern science is amazing. I’m glad they’ve diagnosed the problem.
