I'm getting very nervous

I’m not really nervous about the dental surgery but what happens after. Not being able to talk properly is my biggest fear. Also missing out on all my favorite foods. I guess I’ll just have to get used to it. Hoping for prayers/good thoughts.

What are your favorite foods? Maybe we can help you come up with ways to adjust the recipes?

Ribs. Shrimp. Burgers

I don’t know about ribs or shrimp, but burgers would be pretty easy since it’s already ground meat. You could dice tomatoes, shred lettuce, dice onions, dice pickles, etc. Make it all into a salad instead of a traditional burger to make it easier to eat. Skip the bread since you’re trying to lose weight anyways.

Don’t worry I guess after a couple of days you will be fine. Maybe get some rest at home and treat yourself really nice until it is better. Eat some pudding :drooling_face:

Try to relax and get your mind off the food. I got my jaw wired 8 years ago so I couldn’t eat anything solid for 4 months. It’s hard but you got us to get through it!

My uncle ate shrimp a few days after getting well over half his teeth removed. He actually manages pretty well with most things, including ribs if they are cooked right.

How many teeth are going to be removed?

I stopped eating grains a couple months ago, and this is how I eat my burgers now. Lol I make my own mayonnaise, so I just make it a little thinner and drizzle it over the top like salad dressing.
