I'm beginning to think "old"

It’s difficult to explain but I’m mentally placing more emphasis on the fact that I’m 50 than schizophrenia for being “out of the game”.

I look at the tv and think well “those are young people’s issues” etc etc.

This is a quite recent change in thinking.

To me, 50 still sounds young. I could still do quite a bit at 50.

You’re officially middle aged.

Yeah 50 does sound young now…

I’m convinced you’re not officially old until about 80 when you’ve surpassed life’s expectancy

When I was a kid we used to ride bikes and play on the playground.

I think the same and I’m only 25, I’m living in another dimension.

My life expectancy was originally 40, so you’re not helping here.

my dad and his friends are late 50s, and they are in better shape than I am. I go mountain biking with them every weekend, and I am always the last one to the top of the mountain.

They all bike atleast 2-3 times a week and do hiking and other sports. Very active ‘‘old’’ guys lol

I’m 50 and feeling it. I don’t have the pep I used to. Seems like I just don’t have the get up and go like I used to.

@everhopeful Just wait till they start asking you memory based questions, due to your age, at a F2F or virtual consultation.
