Im a huge fan of western medicine

I cant stand the hipsters who are into eastern medicine.

What i find funny though, is that when shiit hits the fan with them, they always come running back to western medicine…

They irritate me big time !!

I believe meditation and yoga can slow the progression of disease, if done correctly (and enough lol)

What about doctors who are officially trained in both US and Chinese medicine? I’m studying to become certified as an instructor from such a doctor.

But really, does eastern medicine actually help u ?

My friend is Chinese and his mom would make him drink egg yolks and he said it always worked. And acupuncture has good results IIRC

Here is my opinion:

Yes, it has helped me. But, I’ve often tried to learn fundamentals, instead of pursuing complex fads. And, I try hard to not teach without authorization from a real authority.

What eastern medicine do you take for Schizophrenia ?

I am a student of Dr. Kuhn. Please feel free to ask her via e-mail or something.

I’ve tried a sort of eastern and western approach to SZ, but not under the direction of Dr. Kuhn.

I’m a fan of what works rather than where it came from.

Homeopathic “medicine” is quackery.

Been there, done it.

The difference between willow bark and aspirin. The difference between penicillin and mold. The difference between milk of poppy and fentanyl

If it works for you, that’s fine. I’m glad you found something. But I myself am going to stick to western medicine.

Guys, there’s a difference between homeopathy and acupuncture and Chinese Traditional Medicine and all of that.

I have a friend who has a doctorate in TCM and acupuncture. He told me for schizophrenia I had better stick to western drugs, but he did give me an herbal blend that kept me from developing diarrhea when I was taking antibiotics for an infection (that he knew I needed antibiotics for) and his acupuncture keeps me sleeping a normal amount for up to two weeks afterward. If I don’t do acupuncture, I have to rely on sleep aids, and those make me groggy the next day. He was also able to heal a wrist injury I had that my doctor told me required surgery, and through acupuncture, my sprained ankle was back to completely fine again after one week.

Homeopathy = nonsense. But TCM and acupuncture both have their places. As long as your provider is honest with you about what they can realistically treat, they can be amazingly helpful.

The thing is, these TCM " doctors " tell how bad APs and other western medicine is and that we should stop them and only do TCM…

Some do, and they’re jerks. Some understand the limits of TCM and the limits of western medicine and work within that area.

It’s safe to say that Western medicine has helped a lot of people. I wish other regions of the world had access to all our vaccinations etc.

So sad that we have children in some parts of Africa dying from perfectly treatable diseases.

And in some parts of the US, due to the expense of healthcare in our country.

Wow I didn’t realise this happens in the US as well.

I am grateful to the system in the UK. I wouldn’t be able to afford treatment without the NHS.
