That’s a pretty dramatic take on things. There’s a difference between having a comment flagged and going to jail. Follow the rules, and you won’t have this problem. As a private website, we are allowed to enforce our own rules, and expect community members to stick by them.

We’re getting there. “Wrong” is subjective and defined by the government, usually, so we’re being forced to be politically correct.
Governments like Mao Zedong’s and Adolf Hitler’s were some of the most “politically correct” ones, and you know how they turned out.

That’s above our pay grade. We are volunteer moderators, and our job is to make sure rules are followed. Some of you think we should act as therapists, counselors, or mediators. And if that becomes part of my duties here, I will require $25/hour

that’s when I get notifications, and the mods always side with the flaggers.
I was in the process of reading it and it was interesting. I don’t know why it was deleted, but maybe it was because you mentioned a specific politician protecting free speech.
I would like to read the post, if it can be re-typed in a less provocative manner.
Maybe instead of referring to a specific politician upon whom people can focus their anthropromorphic hate, you could simply say things like: “The government is protecting free speech in the U.S., so I’m not worried here…”
