I loved working in a bookstore. It paid poorly but any work with books in retail or in a library would be my idea of a good time. There’s just something different about dealing with books, ideas and book people.

I am not sure where you live, but in a librarian or library tech is a decent job. You could always supplement the pay with a part time job.

Something easy, with good hours, good pay and the coworkers don’t put you down. Paid vacation, extra breaks. See where I’m going with this? Having a boss you can tolerate. Maybe janitorial in an Army Reserve office building. Oh wait, I already do that and I got all that.

I’m 52. I’m on a pension. I am past work these days and best thing I ever did was move sideways and just do volunteering work. I appreciate the sentiment but I live a good life at the moment on benefits…way less stressfull.

I am working my ideal job. Librarian in a small library. It’s a lot of work as we do everything, no cleaners or maintenance crew, etc.

But I am only 3 miles from home and if there is an emergency at home my boss has given me permission to close up and go take care of whatever. My boss is aware of my MI and gives me all sorts of care.

Ideal Job was working as a Nursery Nurse in a Creche, about 25 years ago. I got my qualifications in what was the NNEB, but later on i ended up caring for the elderly instead.

No chance of working in that field now - too unstable, and would be a nightmare on the Criminal Record Checks for my GBH charges lol :stuck_out_tongue:

Loved attending to all the little ones. These days it seems alot of the asian community have filled the jobs. I was on ruddy good money when i was in my early 20’s as well, especially as i was still living at home with mum - paying just £30 a week for housekeeping.

Honestly, I really like my volunteer position right now, helping seniors with technology. If I didn’t have SZ, anything in a teaching/training capacity would be ideal, especially with older adults. I’m very patient and love doing work that makes an impact.

Working within my capabilities today, I start work as a personal shopper for delivery app soon, there’s little to no interaction and the schedule is very flexible. I just wish it paid more!

Working as an artist painting paintings, and finding two or three art galleries to sell my paintings. I really don’t know where to start. I have lots of paintings already.

First, I have always been interested in how electricity works and how it can power homes and businesses.
