I wonder if any of these things are the cause for why I experience blurry vision in the evening

Blurry eyes at night

Reasons why your eyes may go blurry at night can include:

  • You are tired so your visual system is fatigued.
  • You have a refractive error such as long-sightedness or astigmatism. During the day, you may be able to compensate for these, but when your eyes are tired, your vision can go blurry.
  • You could be mildly short-sighted. This may not bother you in normal light, but you notice it at lower light levels.
  • The tears on the front of your eyes may be drying out if you have been around heaters and air conditioners all day. This may cause your eyes to go a little blurry, but should clear when you blink.

I only get it sometimes in the evening.

I sit in front of the computer all day or TV

Some of the meds affect how quickly your eyes refocus. That means if you are constantly switching from near to far and back again, your eyes seem to be constantly out of focus because they aren’t adapting to the change fast enough. Try looking at something at a fixed distance for a minute or so and see if it resolves properly.

I have this issue on Haldol, my PRN.

Could be med related. I have some visual problems on olanzapine like inability to see what happens in the corners of my eyes.
