That didn’t frustrate me and had a good result. I’ve tried crocheting and knitting. Apparently not my thing. I’ve been thinking about painting but again I have tried and failed. I love poetry and am satisfied with my results but I can’t just write on command. So it wouldn’t really fill my day. Any suggestions?
I watch videos and play games as a hobby
I paint sometimes, too.
I’ve been watching a video about no sew tied fleece blankets. I think I’m going to try one and then if it turns out I’ll make one for each of my kiddos.
I play around with taking pictures and videos on my cell phone. I also write very bad song lyrics with Google Docs.
I bought myself avrotary tool for about 30 bugs and some rough uncut gemstones which isn’t to expansive. Gonna try and cut the stones into figures or to bring out their natural beauty etc. Should be interesting to try and i’d say kinda unique… Gonna start this coming week.
Like you I’ve been trying to find a hobbyfor quite a while… Never found something that fit right, so i’ll try this. I write poetry as well on occasions, but not on command
I have a myriad of hobbies: piano playing, reading, social media, cooking, prayer, yoga, playing with my cat, meditation, volunteering, talking with my friend and also visiting with her at her home, and playing with her dog, camping, traveling, attending the opera, ballet and symphony, listening to classical music, writing and promoting my book.
And no, I’m never bored.
Some activities my therapy class recommended include meditating once per day, exercising, exercising the brain, attending a social event like a support group, journaling, turning to someone for support, doing a leisurely activity, using calming techniques like deep breathing, etc.
My hobbies are gym…this forum…I started a course of cleaning. I really enjoy it. I have been working as a cleaning lady for 7 years and I know how to clean but taking a course of something I already know feels cool.
I try to have hobbies, but I lose interest in whatever I’m “into” at the moment and just stop doing it. I used to have many.
How about photography? Taking pictures is fun.
I’m always looking for a hobby. I do have some energy and an active mind and I need something to keep me busy and off the internet and computer gaming. I’ve tried a lot but I still keep going.
Only trouble is most of my hobbies are expensive and not sustainable but hey you’ve got to give them a go!
What interests you? What do you like to do that is comfortable and interested in? Does it cost a lot of money you don’t have? Is it easy to learn and hard to master? There’s a lot of things out there and there’s always things like movies and tv to get interested in…yeah may be not a hobby per se but it’s pretty similar!
Well I quite like reading, listening to music, doing puzzle magazines, long stitch, playing my computer games and baking cakes. Still I don’t have a lot of hobbies either. It can be frustrating at times as some days I want to do something but can’t think of anything I want to do. Anhedonia takes a lot of the fun out of things. You’re idea sounds good though. Give it a go, can’t hurt to try.
Damn @rogueone i gotta reinforce another post this am. Yup I don’t need to add other than, it really helps to have something that you enjoy something to be proud of so much so that you discuss with others. @thebest is into sports and is fun to tease any chat about them. Two cool cats must have a hobby of listening and coming up with good advice because both @chemwex is a kickass smart friend that keeps me up to date on Barca and makes the world seem much smaller and less overwhelming and @anon5927173 is another empathetic good friend that has great advice. Ok, my point is that you can make anything a hobby like being a good listener, after all we have so few in this world, and it’s a cheap hobby. Anything can be a hobby and hopefully you find a fun productive one. I have several and make the day go by faster and gives me joy and confidence. Good luck
