So, suppose, you live with a partner, and she makes 100k dollars or such. Now, you make nothing. If you live with her, will she have to pay for your medicines, or the government would pay for your medicines?

If she has to pay for your medications, probably expensive, then it is even harder to get married with this illness.

Did i have a hallucination or was there a link to a dating site for people with mental illness when you sign up for this site? I was just looking for it but couldn’t find it again.

The medicine is discounted by the NHS, per prescription it’s only £12 or something. So I would be paying, but nowhere near the amount you have to elsewhere

I’ve never seen it before, so not sure

if you are thinking of NoLongerLonely, I’m pretty sure that site is defunct.

I had a profile on there. Good idea on paper, but there was no one within like 100 miles of where I was. It was a ghost town on there, pretty much

What if you have zero income? You still have to pay?!

I was in New York, I didn’t make anything at that time, and I had medicaid. Even medications like Latuda which were 40 dollars per pill of 40 mgs at that time (120 mg dose amounts to 120 dollars a dose or 3600 dollars a month), I had to pay zero dollars.

And, rightly so, I had no income, how would I be even expected to pay 50 dollars a month?

Makes sense. We are a minority and it’s hard to reach out to everyone, I guess.

No, if you’re low income; you don’t have to pay !

So, if you are making good money, it is still discounted and 12 dollars a month per prescription?

That’s right, it’s a good deal imo

That is kind of cool. So, if you are with a partner, what sort of benefits would you lose?

The main one (universal credit including housing element for the rent), there’s a threshold at which point I’d lose per every amount earned by her over the threshold

That kind of sucks. So, your partner may see you as a burden financially. That is not cool.
