In my experience,
People that create a “I’m leaving the forum” thread either don’t leave or come back quickly.
If it were me,
I’d just log out.

if it’s because you aren’t getting a lot of responses on your posts it happens to me all the time…don’t be hurt…people are finicky what they post to.

It can be difficult to leave this forum. If you have a decent internet connection and a fairly standard web browser, it is just a few clicks away.
In just a few clicks you get access to a bunch of people who have a lot of time on their hands to think and do research. It seems like a bargain.
If you decide that you have had enough for a while, though, it is hard to leave. It is even pretty hard to get banned, unless you say something politically incorrect about some protected group, or do something extremely impolite.
So, my guess is, unless you find a way to motivate yourself to not come back, you are stuck here like some of the rest of us.
