My digestive system has been out of whack ever since I got drunk, and now looking up my symptoms tells me I’ve damaged my liver I’m so scared now should I go see the doc?
Well, a trip to the doc might be informative . . .

“Calling doctor 77nick77 to the emergency room”. Dr. 77nick77 to the E.R." How long have you been drinking and how much do you drink when you are drinking? Because liver damage isn’t caused by occasionally getting drunk with several drinks over a short period of time like a few years. Liver damage usually happens with people who drink a large amount over a period of many years. But I’m no a doctor, they revoked my license to practice medicine after I misdiagnosed poor Mrs. Gooberman with a broken leg after she came in with a runny nose.
While this is typically true, depending on what meds someone takes it could change things. I only drank maybe one or two drinks a week a few years ago and my liver was failing because it was too much given the other meds that I was on.
I say get some blood work done. It’s simple and can tell you easily if it’s actually your liver or not. And if it’s something else, it’s good to find out what it is if you’re having symptoms of something.
the liver can heal itself…look that up on the internet.
like 77nick77 said to damage the liver you would need to drink a lot.
you are very paranoid at the moment…
you thought you had cancer a few days ago…right.
you are safe.
know someone cares…
you are not going to die trust me…i don’t lie.
take care
Sith is right. You frequently worry about having diseases. You may have hypochondria. There is an easy way to tell. If you read about hypochondria and think you may have it, then you definitely have it.
I’m 57 years old, and for a while I was drinking a twelve pack 4-5 times a week while I took Geodon, Seroquel, and Wellbutrin. So far I haven’t noticed any symptoms from my liver. You might be surprised to know this, but there are people who drink more than twice what I used to drink. Alcoholics can consume shocking amounts of alcohol. Usually liver damage occurs when someone has drank around a quart of whiskey a day for around twenty years. That said, I would be careful mixing alcohol with the med’s we take. These med’s are powerful, and in combination with other chemicals they could cause serious damage.
Just cut back on the sugar and alcohal. Sugar damages the liver. Eat some beets and see if that works with the symptoms.
My liver enzymes just recently came up as a little out of whack…probably due to near daily drinking rather than anything more serious.
I got mild liver damage - high liver enzymes, from taking high doses of Depakote ER for decades.
I doubt that you have liver damage, sounds like you could be a Hypochondriac like me.
I got off of the Depakote and now my liver is fine.
But it’s best not to drink alcohol, especially while on meds.
I don’t drink by the way.
I ate so many my pee turned red. I didn’t know that could happen. I was trying to be a vegetarian sorta of.
Ya, they will do that.
You know beets have approximately one metric f*ckton of sugar in them, right?
About 6 grams more or less per beet. There is a chemical in beets that inspires healing in the liver. Just dont eat to many. A beet a day will keep liver cancer away.
I was wondering what your diet consists of now if you do’nt mind telling me?
Just wondering since you seem alright from what Ive read on your posts.
Doctrine of signatures: A red beet looks like a healthy liver.
