That seems a little pessimistic? 
Dreams are just too glowing. Who has dreams about cleaning a latrine? It’s like planning a vacation being more fun than the reality of the vacation itself.

There are always alternatives in what we expect. If we fixate on one thing it will be hard to get it, but if we accept alternatives and pursue them we might find satisfaction.
