I don’t want to spend a lot of money. I checked some deals for a 1-night getaway on Groupon but there were not many interesting things and also most are fully booked.
I could book a nice restaurant. I just feel like mehhh right now.
Are there any bed and breakfasts in your area? Those are always nice.
If that is too pricey and all of the restaurants are booked, have you thought about a nice dinner at home? You could get dressed up as if you were going out, order to go from Outback or some other steakhouse (or whatever you prefer), bring it back home and enjoy it over candlelight. Just don’t forget to clear the table off before hand if it’s messy.
After your dinner, you could watch Netflix and chill. No literally- watch Netflix and kick back and relax. Jeez, was your mind in the gutter?
A quiet night at home can be just as nice as one out, and it can be a lot less stressful. My husband and I often do them for our date night.
I guess it makes sense to find a one-night getaway, should be fun and a good dinner costs at least 150$, a getaway would cost me up to 250$ dinner included.
We are always staying home. I was not planning anything, he called me and told me to plan something so we celebrate Valentine.
I was surprised, honestly. He usually never asks.
I asked him to buy me a Channel purse if he wins a lot of money in Las Vegas!
Nice! I know you were wanting that Chanel purse! I hope he wins that money for you.
Maybe you could go to a place at an earlier time. If you arrive at 5:00 instead of their busier time (around 6 or 7:00) or even later (9:00), then I think it may be easier to get a table. You could also do something fun like bowling that allows you to talk and interact while enjoying yourselves. Movies don’t let you do that. If you end up going out, be prepared to wait for a table. On Valentine’s Day, an hour’s wait is probably about right for a steakhouse or other popular restaurant. Since I don’t do anything all day long, I have a hard time holding a conversation for that length of time, so I read things on the internet beforehand to give me topics of discussion. If you tend to run out of things to say, it’s something you might want to try so that you can keep up a conversation during your wait.
No, it doesn’t sound like a steakhouse is an option for you. On the plus side, that may make finding a spot in a restaurant easier. Steakhouses will probably be the busiest. Can you look up restaurant menus online to get an idea of which one might have something for you to eat. Olive Garden is good, according to my daughter. She is a vegetarian, but she says you can ask for tomato sauce instead of white sauce and can request no cheese. Plus- the breadsticks!
