Sounds sensible to try and keep things settled. I hope the increase helps.
I find stress to be a massive problem. I hope you can avoid more turmoil in these difficult times

God bless you, your mother, your father and your brother as you try to handle this news.
We;re always here for you, @Wave.
I see. Yes, the same thing happened with my grandpa. When people are cachectic, eating and drinking can be painful because the body has shut down its digestive processes because itâs preparing itself for death. If she asks for food or water, then get her some, but other than that, leave it alone because the body no longer needs food or water. You need sustenance to live, but you donât need it to die.
No you donât understand.
Hospice nurses told us that we can no longer feed her or give her water because she is inhaling the food and water to her lungs.
This can cause a painful death or an aspiration pneumonia.
so sadâŚbe strong. Best wishes.
So sorry to hear @Wave
Sending hugs !!!
@Wave Iâm so sorry youâre such a good person and I wish this wasnât happening to you and your mom itâs so sad and Iâm so sorry, youâre definitely in my thoughts.
Yes, I do understand. Swallowing is part of the digestive process, and it becomes more difficult to swallow when youâre cachectic. The exact same thing happened to my grandpa. Donât worry though, because cachexia isnât painful as far as Iâm aware. It just happens, and then itâs over. Iâm so sorry this is happening to you and your family, @Wave. I wonât lie; itâll be painful, itâll suck, but I hope itâll be okay in the end. Take care of yourself.
