I’m the hospital with a lung infection

This is my first time ever being hospitalized for something other than mental health. I have pneumonia, an infection in my blood called gram positive cocci and 91% O2 stats. I’ve been here since Friday, I’m so ready to go home. But they just started me on my sixth antibiotic in the past month

Oh man. Ugh! You poor thing! I was in the hospital for pneumonia a few years ago. My lungs were only functioning at 40% and that was after a weeks worth of treatment. Pneumonia is awful. I really feel for you

Thanks guys, I just got to speak to the lung doctor again today. We are aiming for discharge tomorrow as long as my recent blood culture comes back clear. Fingers crossed

Hope your on the improve and out of there pretty soon. Sorry your dealing with it but it’s serious business so hospital isn’t a bad place to be.

Pneumonia. One of the things my mother has almost died of so many times I’ve lost count

“I’m checking out of the prison bus,” and attempting to advance further toward my BA in Chemistry tonight. I feel so far from actually helping in the present. :frowning:
