I want to donate a clean water pump in my granddad’s ancestral village. There’s a few hundred people living there so I don’t think there needs too be 100s of water pumps I’m just clueless

Generally in India farmers in villages require Pumps and Tube well for agricultural. They don’t require for home. And I think each Tube well with submersible pump cost 4 to 5 lacs. Don’t think about 100, only gift to your Grandpa.

I’m exploring the options. I know people there so was wondering if it can be done without involving a charity. That said , even if 20 percent is to pay for the staff at least some of it’s helping the people who need it. Better than nothing at all
