But one thing that bothers me is that I’m a picky eater and I probably wouldn’t be able to eat the food that they make there
Is there facilities where you could make your own food?
I think most of those places you would have to eat the food
aw have to struggle alone then
some places can make what you want though dont give up
Couldn’t you order in ?
What does that mean
Moving into supported living was a smart move and something I don’t regret. It’s an opportunity. I had to do my own shopping and cooking.
are they helpful there
Yeah that the staff are very helpful and teach you great life skills. I’d thoroughly recommend it.
I’ll consider it
There’s places who will accommodate your diet! When I was looking for assisted living I remember they asked if I had any special dietary restrictions. I heard autism can made you psychologically reject some foods or have a limited diet. I’m sure some places would be willing to accommodate you. Worth asking for sure.
Idk. i feel like i should survive alone
I think it would be a good thing for you in your life. You wouldn’t be so alone.
Talk to a few supported living homes and ask how they handle picky eaters. Ask if you’re allowed to make your own food.
It’s worth a try at least. Don’t give up without even looking into it
idk if i even truly need it i dont want to take it if someone else doesn’t get in because of me being there
If they let you in, that means you need it as much as anyone else who is there
i dont want to be a person whos wasting the society’s resources
i should just deal with it and get a job or something
You can discuss your options with the people who treat you for your mental and emotional issues.
They’ll know better whether or not you’re easy to try working etc
idk… they think im useless and dumb
No they don’t. It’s possible they believe you’re currently too ill and unstable to work etc but that does not mean useless or dumb
my biggest dream is to study in university and get a job one day
