Let me explain.
My doctor always brings up things on my appointments that I haven’t told them ever and my document papers don’t say those things either (I’ve read them)
The same thing is going on with my nurse.
I’ve only written those anonymously on the Internet and the writings aren’t anything they should worry or be suspicious about.
i would doubt that your doctors are stalking you but its possible your parents have been reading the site and telling your doctor. i dont mean to trigger you but just saying. i think it makes more sense than your actual doctors
Good morning @Crystal-Cotton, it is highly unlikely that you are being stalked online by your treatment team. This would be a horrible privacy breach on their part to start with, and no medical professional would want to lose their license over something this trivial. I definitely encourage discussing this concern with your treatment providers so they can help you set it aside.
In the meantime, I have had to move this thread to Unusual Beliefs as it is a very common delusion in our community. Thanks for understanding and good luck with getting past this problem.
I know this is the unusual beliefs thread, but this has happened to members on the site before. I have even had one of my kids find my posts on this site. That is partly why we like to remind folks that this is a public website that can be viewed by anyone.
I was stalked as a result of my participation here. It was fallout from a disagreement with my child’s teachers over unethical behaviour on their part. I was not careful with my anonymity here and they thought that their knowing I had SZ would embarrass me into backing down. It did not and I won.
Yes, it can happen, but generally only when people are not careful about concealing their IRL identity.
When I was in the ward here some 15 years ago the staff took notes on what I said and my behaviour. One of the staff said something about me they could not have known without knowledge from some of the other staff. I confronted them about it and they admitted it. A nurse friend who did practice at a mental hospital confirmed it as well.
I don’t think I like the practice unless it’s something critical being noted, but they noted just about anything, even if it was trivial. I kept my mouth shut after learning about this. In my opinion the practice works against recovery as people with bad mental states can get very paranoid about stuff like this.
