I like how my roommate "messes" with me a lot

He constantly pokes jokes at me when I say things. It’s all in good fun. But it gives me the feeling I can “handle it” and that he respects me. Kinda contradictory if you ask me. But I feel respect when he messes with me. At first I didn’t like him but now he messes me, it shows he has comfort towards me. I like it. Some people would find it obnoxious but I find it complimentary. Shows how I’ve thickened my skin over the years. Cue @flameoftherhine messing with me lol.

I know some on this board would find it innapropriate but as I’ve shared before, I have ocd where I pace and count the tiles on the floor in intervals of three. It looks really awkward and instead of saying “wtf are you doing” he mimicked me and I laughed. He copied my ocd and I found that hellarious lol!!

I remember my grandfather always messing with me, joking around. He wouldn’t have messed with me if he didn’t love me, it was just the way he was. I’m glad it doesn’t bother you. I envy your life. It must be awesome living where weed is legal.

I wanted to mess with you by sharing a dialogue of a Serpent eating a Hippie. :x
He ends up saying he needed to eat him to become a Dragon.

It’s not even about weed being legal, I mean that’s nice and all, but it shows the people are more logical to have voted it legal! We’re not living in the Stone Age up here! Lol

Since I moved to Washington I’ve realized my hippieism pales in comparison to the rest of the hippies here. I was a hippie on the east coast. Hippieism is somewhat relevant to where you live😊

I show my affection with a series of increasingly elaborate practical jokes. I don’t know any other way.

Btw @flameoftherhine the kid who messes with me is the straightedge anarchist tall and big type. Fits that stereotype to the T lollll. But I don’t mind him. I think I didn’t like him at first because I thought he was a walking stereotype but now I realize to not judge a book by its cover.

I want to write more about guys kidding, or messing around. I think I do an ok job, but want to get to when you used to call each other by your mother’s name, call your bowling name The Iron Toenails, and joke about female products.

Straight edge anarchist sounds painful to be around lol…I’m more afraid of the violence I’ve seen straight edged kids do than anything ive ever seen anyone on drugs do…lol

His girlfriend who lives with us is a straight edged hippie chik so she kinda keeps the balance in the house !

I’m the constantly manic schizo who paces around and buds in on every bodies convos. Fortunately I usually make em laugh. Like today someone was using the swifter and I was like “DO ThE TAYLOR SWIFT-ER”. Everybody laughed. Me and one kid have long chats In mornings about all types of stuff. 3 of the kids were already friends before the year I’m doing a good job with that dynamic in the house

Lol, our brains work the same way, chew. My roommate is comfortable around me too. He makes all kinds of weird sounds. He makes just random sounds like beeping or honking or helicopter noises. It’s pretty funny. He comes up with a new one every other day. And he laughs at all my jokes.

We talk about life and women and laugh at the other tenants. We get along amazingly well considering we have to share a tiny room. He’s pretty cool.

About two weeks ago I had to park my car about 5 blocks away. I needed to get something out of my car and it was night and I told him i was a little worried about walking to my car at night because I cannot run or fight because my back is so shot and there’s a lot of homeless people and gangs and punks in our neighborhood because it’s a city of about 900,00o people Without hesitating he said, " I’ll go with you". He was implying that if someone bugged us, than he would take care of it because he was trained to fight when he was in the military.

That was pretty darn cool of him. I ended up walking by myself but I haven’t met anybody in the mental health system in 36 years who would do something like that for me.
