no offence eo but i was a little worried you had taken it without permission but i hope this is a lesson to you, never steal from your loved ones, I did it when i was a child but i grew out of that stage about 15 yrs old, i was a stupid kid.
it is very good of you to come clean though (unless you got caught) bc that is different,
all i say is just do the right thing and make up and never do it again, if you paid her back then you have done all you can, hopefully your mum still trusts you, don’t ruin your relationship over money its bad news.
Okay well in the meantime try not to worry, what’s done is done, you’ve taken accountability for your actions, try not to get legal advice off the internet aswell, I feel that might be worrying you more
okay thanks everyone i ask on the internet is say they wont report it the police just one lawyer said they will. I think police have more issues to worry about than a 25 dollar thing, plus i paid her back. I think its up to my mom. What do you guys think, idk im so worried i dont want to go to jail have a felony.
The problem your Mum will have is that she could potentially get in trouble. Even if its just a bad credit rating for taking products and charging back for no reason.
But its not really something you can control. Especially as its already happened.
I don’t see how you will go to jail. I would stop worrying about that.
I kind of figured that out. Is this why you were so angry at them? I’m sure you won’t go to jail. Stealing from your family is the worst though. They are your family. You shouldn’t steal from family. But I know you are sorry. I’m glad you are sorry. I hope you don’t do that again. Then you really will get in trouble.
What country do you live in ? In the USA if you have no prior charges they may let you off with a warning , community service or probation. My stepbrother lives in another state and a while back he blacked out drunk and vandalized 3 cars. He has no priors and he’s in AA now. Haven’t talked to my stepmom but I don’t think he’s facing any jail time. The family is hoping he’ll get community service
If your mom reports the card for fraud, you could be prosecuted for it. You stole and she filed an official report. You basically cheated the ejuice company and they may demand retribution.
Nothing in my record, im clean. First time and last time. I dont know why i did, my counselor told it was my addiction that drove me, i bought ejuice. im so stupid.
My mom said they wont report the police, but im still worried, i dont know what she told them. She forgives me. Is it up to my mom to press charges not the bank?
i seriously doubt you will go to jail over $25 dollars. they have bigger fish to fry. don’t know what will happen though, probably nothing, maybe just a talking to.
Have you paid your mother the $25 yet? If you have and she disputes the charge then you both have committed fraud. Stealing is stealing but I think as far as the law is concerned they look at the $$$ amount. That’s just common sense. I doubt you’ll go to jail over $25 especially because you have no priors.
