I ate a sticky doughnut and handled my computer mouse. So I damp clothed it off and then it wouldn’t work. I’ll never do that again. After it dried, it worked. I was lucky this time.

Weird. They can usually handle a damp cloth. Maybe a water droplet got caught in the path of the laser?
