I just had a realization

Maybe this pain in my very low back is tardive dystonia, it got worse when i quit my meds. my hips dont seem to move normal now and its causing old pains i had when i was off haldol last time. maybe its making my hips tights making me walk different.

Isnt td caused by meds?

yes it is, but its known to also be supressed by the meds. so it can damage the part of ur brain that causes it, while hiding it, and u might not know u have it til u quit taking the medicine.

You need to talk to your Dr about it asap

she wont do nothing. i can try and just get her to make sure its nothing serious, but i doubt she knows anything about the side effects of antipsychotics

What about a psychiatrist

Can’t you request a new one?

no they never replaced her and they have no room. id have to go somewhere else. but i cant see going to a dr again and being like “i quit my meds but can u tell me if it damaged my muscles”

does anyone know what non-prescriptions help with TD? Like does benedryl? i could test it if i knew what is supposed to help

I don’t think they mind you being off meds especially if you’re not psychotic

I had that in my jaw, very uncomfortable

Can you do any mild exercise to strengthen your body, like Tai Chi?
