A full-time position opened up at my job, and I just applied! My managers were all super excited when I said I was considering it, and that made me feel really awesome. It is good to know they think I’m a competent worker who they would like to have around more often.
I do have to get cleared by my doctor to work more than 25 hours, but I am confident she will sign off on it. She has always trusted my own judgment of my limitations and abilities.
I work at a hardware store as a cashier. Some people dislike dealing with grumpy customers, but I really love it. By the end of the day, I’ve made at least a few people’s lives happier than they were when they came to me.I also like that it’s lower stress than my last job. Nobody’s life or personal safety is on the line. Here, the worst I can do is charge someone the wrong amount.
nice one, you are one of the lucky few that can work and also have sz, sz is very debilitating for most,
i am hoping to get a little part time job sometime, i have a few qualifications now so maybe that will hold me in good stead, idk how it will work i think i’d need to be eased back into it, i couldnt cope with work when i left school but i tried my best for 3-4 years before being hospitalised.
