The last time I was in the psych ward was August 2019. They increased my Invega Sustenna to the max dose and switched me from Prozac to Bupropion 300mg a day. I was there for suicidal ideation. Now I’m on the max dose of Invega Trinza and Bupropion. I’ve only had some mood problems like some depression and some mood swings. I don’t think I’ll have to go back to the psych ward anymore as long as my meds keep working.

Cool! I haven’t been in five years myself, and I used to go every few months like clockwork. It’s always a good sign when you can handle yourself outside of the hospital environment using doctor appointments and medicine.

Yeah I’m in a good ACT program and one of the old staff members told me to try an injection so I asked one of my psychiatrists for one and she said Invega and once I got stable on that I was fine except for some mood blips.

Congratulations! Only 10 months for me but I’m hoping it’s years before the next time, or better yet, maybe I’ll never go back! But it’s nice to know it’s there if I need it…

8 years for me. I spent two days inside at the end of 2015. Before that it was 25 years between hospitalizations.

I’m thinking about asking them to increase my dose of Buproprion too. I think it helps. It’s been around long enough that it probably doesn’t cost very much. I’m wondering if that is why the psychiatric profession is disparaging Geodon. They can’t charge as much for it now that it has been around for a good while, and it is popular, because it handles the symptoms of sz with very little side effects.

It’s been 10 years for me. I od['ed on benzos, and they took me to the emergeny room to pump my stomach, I think, I don’t remember any of that. Then they took me to the psych hospital. I had six years of sobriety until not too long ago, but then I got drunk.

That’s pretty good. It’s been almost four years since I’ve had a beer. I wasn’t an alcoholic but I’m not supposed to drink on my meds.

The years when I was drinking heavily and taking med’s were the sickest and weakest I had ever been. Drinking and taking these med’s takes a huge toll on your health.

Congratulations! Yeah the last time I was in about 5 years ago it was pretty mild… I just hadn’t been sleeping and was a bit scattered and scared. I slept it off in the hospital in a couple days and was so thankful to have comfy beds and quiet.
It sounds like you are making great progress too!

I used to go to the psych ward every year from 2015-2019 and in 2018 I went twice. Getting stable on Invega Sustenna in 2019 stopped that. Good job on coming up on a year!
