Forrest Gump had an IQ of 75. Mine is measured at IQ 69. Do you think I come across as intellectually impaired as Forrest Gump maybe without me realising it? According to online literature an IQ of 69 is a sufficient mental impairment. I live in a group home but I think I chose this option so I can continue to receive disability benefits. Maybe I actually come across as intellectually impaired without realising it?
It doesen’t matter. It’s only a number. IQ tests aren’t always accurate. They may emphazise on certain forms of intelligence.
Your written language in this post seems as intelligent as anyone.
Did you only take one test or several? I’d try taking a few different tests before concluding.

When I did the test it was done by a psychologist in Sep 2010. I asked my pdoc and told him I want another IQ test doing and he flat out told me that it wasnt in my interest.

I see. Well…for my part I have only taken online IQ tests.
If I were to take a test under supervision from a doctor I think it would stress me and I would probably score lower.
Maybe try to take a online free IQ test and see what that says. I think those are the kind of tests most people refer to when they talk about their IQ. I don’t think many have taken a test under professional supervision.

That’s what I don’t get… IQ tests don’t take in so many factors. Some people are intelligent but take longer to come to conclusions. Also some people have anxiety and can’t perform under pressure. Both would result in a lower score but that person would be very intelligent. I’m highly opposed to IQ tests. Maybe we’ll look back one day and see how unhelpful they are.

You do seem impaired, but intellect/intelligence isn’t everything.
There are many aspects to intelligence. I see it as skill points, like in roleplay.
Some people lack skillpoints in some aspects, but have many skill points in other areas.

I didn’t read much from you, but I didn’t feel you were impaired. Also, I think it isn’t as important as people make it to be.
One of my dearest friends had an IQ score like yours. She is incredibly sweet. In many ways she is real smart. More than me. Or people I know with high IQs. I really love her. I think IQ tests have very limited value.
Do you feel you are hindered by it? I guess that’s important.

That’s brave. I have played with the thought of travelling abroad alone, but so far I haven’t had the courage. I guess it in part has to do with having serious insomnia for the last 8 years. I haven’t really been in shape to do much of anything.

I don’t know. I’m some ways you seem intelligent and in other ways it’s obvious you don’t understand the meanings of things. Remember when you didn’t understand the meaning of poverty? The thread was closed by @anon4362788 because your use of the word was wrong and you were upsetting people for thinking you might be impoverished even though you travel abroad etc.

I once listened to an audio recording of a famous book called “A Brave New World.”
In it, a world government actually breeds and raises people of lower intelligence to keep the world stable.
So, to honestly look on the bright side, someday you may honestly be able to call yourself a stud.

Forrest Gump is my favourite movie,
That sentence " run Forrest run ",
and he did run.
In the movie it was so amazing what one could accomplish being good,
he is not a fool but wise,
he got things done even with so many obstacles as a box of chocolates.
Its all how you write your story,
I have decided I wont wait for approval,
just explore and see.
