I’ve been playing on Pogo and at first I was awful, just awful, but slowly I’ve started getting better and better. And now I hold my own and win some. Sometimes I come up with some pretty good plays. I have a long way to go though. Some of the players are amazing with amazing vocabularies.
Very cool. I love games and even though I don’t get to play them too often these days I’m playing computer games at least. Scrabble is a good game and it improves your vocab for sure. Well done to you and may you win a few more!
I used to play scrabble with my parents as a teenager. They were very good. I beat them occasionally. Some time back I joined https://www.isc.ro/ . I quit when someone started to get personal,in an inquisitive way. It was a definite case of self stigma on my part.
I’m not ultra competitive, hence I don’t go out of my way, as some do, to find as many new words as possible to use. Those are very competitive types. They’d probably start mentally self flagellating if they only scored 500 on a game.
I played occasionally with my wife. Her strengths were more non-verbal than verbal though.
I’ve been learning black jack and getting better. I may have to become a professional gambler for any type of independence.
