Any Scrabble Fans Out There?

I play about 2-3 times a week with my 2 buddies. We’re getting really good. Anyhoo…a funny story…

Twice my friend threw all of his tiles onto the table in frustration because he couldn’t make a word. My other buddy and I looked at his letters and made a 50 point plus Bingo for using all seven tiles!

So I’m telling this story as we’re playing and my buddy does it again!! He says screw this and tosses all of his tiles down. We look at the letters and spell out the word ‘reclined’ for another 50 point Bingo!

Oh man, we couldn’t stop laughing!

my dad would want to play when I teen,
but just so he could beat me.
I used to play online against somebody from somewhere, can’t even remember that site,
probably not free anymore.
I preferred Boogle though.

I joined the ‘internet scrabble club’ about 20 years ago. It was OK until an opponent started asking personal questions. I stopped playing then.

I don’t have much time for what I would call ‘fanatical’ scrabble players . The kind that spend ages devouring dictionaries to build huge lists of words to use. I like to play without doing so. If I use a word I’ve not used before it because I’ve recently come across it. It’s not because I’ve swallowed several dictionaries.

Yes, our family and neighbors played Scrabble.

I play Wordfeud on my phone. You can have several games and they have a random board that can score lots of points.

I have the board game at home too.

What took me aback about Nigel is that he managed to learn by heart the whole French dictionary, then went on to win the French scrabble championship. He doesn’t speak French though. :scream:

Yes, I like Scrabble, though it has been a long time since I last played it.

I last played it with my mum. She died Dec 2010.

The last time i played scrabble was over ten years ago and one guy i was playing with who was the boyfriend of another player kept making two letter words and i kept challenging them. More than half were not words and i got angry.

I like scrabble. I used to use the Word Wars app… but people started using it as a dating site and some were trying to scam people so I uninstalled it. It was fun though in the beginning
