I got a sweat suit and a nutribullet. they asked me what I wanted and I said, a road bicycle, a dress suit, a set of golf clubs, or a treadmill. I thought maybe they would buy me a suit but no. just Walmart stuff, mom probably went shopping the week before Christmas.
all in all I guess it was just nice to receive something. the sweats at Walmart are actually pretty nice nowadays, they’re all moisture wicking. it was a practical gift as I will just lounge around in sweatsuits all winter anyways.
My stepmom didn’t have a lot of money this year. I got a lot less than she usually buys but I loved what she got me. Lotion and body wash from the Dollar Store. Oh and shampoo.
I think most of my stuff came from Target because they looked at Walmart and it was sold out. I don’t mind Walmart stuff, though. It’s the crowds of people at Walmart that i don’t like. I hate going to that place. And to think, i used to work there!
Nothing wrong with shopping at WalMart. I used to unload freight for them, then spent a year working at the electronics department. Had to carry a lot of televisions down from the high steel (this was 2003, all those televisions were CRT and heavy as hell) with a ladder, which was kinda dangerous in retrospect.
I like how xmas is commercialized though, to an extent. I got a lot of gifts growing up and I loved it. Christmas was so fun for me as a child. I don’t expect gifts now that I’m older, and we don’t celebrate now that my brothers are both over 18. It’s a holiday for the kids really, adult gift giving should be optional.
well shopping at Walmart is local for us. it is a big inconvenience to commute to the city for gifts, we’re 45 minutes to a hour from the city now at our new location. and I hate city traffic. I wouldn’t drive in it, cant say I blame them.
Walmart is fine, I was just hoping for a suit is all.
Wal Mart also consistently and substantially beats the prices of all other grocery stores in my area. The nearest one doesn’t have ground beef, which sucks, but they have most everything else. We save a lot of money on food doing what part of our grocery shopping we can there.
Yeah, here where i live they have opened up these Walmart Neighborhood Markets. It’s just a Walmart grocery store, not like a Supercenter. But we still have those, too.
I have a Walmart to shop in and I love it. My momma always buys me gifts for Christmas. But I don’t think she shopped at Walmart, but I did. I bought her some cooking things. She bought me a small blanket and candy. She also bought me a chair. She’s so sweet.
also I got $150 in amazon gift cards. i’ll either get some khaki’s or another digital camera. dad caught me off guard today, he gave me a $100 gift card, he said he tried earlier but they were closed, which means he waited until the last minute.
mostly I think he felt guilty that I spent more on him then he did on me. I mean im on a Medicaid and he’s got like a million dollars. I wouldn’t have gotten him anything but I had to spend my yearly savings so I didn’t lose my Medicaid.
My town is too small to have a Walmart. I do like to buy what groceries that I can from Walmart.com. I sure saves money that way and it’s so nice to have the stuff delivered right to your door.
When I do a lot of Christmas shopping I like to shop at Walmart.com because the prices are low. But you have to be careful because there is a lot of inferior products at Walmart so you need to shop wisely and check the quality.
